Rename the Recycle Bin in Windows XP
Have you ever wanted to give a clever name to the Windows Recycle Bin? Here's how to rename the Recycle Bin using the Windows Registry Editor.

Step 1: Go to START and click Run

Step 2: Enter regedit and hit enter to open the Registry Editor

Step 3: Find the following location:

+HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT  (Click the plus sign on the left)

+CLSID  (Click the plus sign on the left)

recycle2

+{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}  (Click the plus sign on the left)

Step 4: Double click LocalizedString

Step 5: Enter your desired name for the Recycle Bin into the empty space called 'Value Data'. When you have entered what you would like click 'OK'.

Step 6: Close the Registry Editor.

Tips:
Make sure to backup a copy of your registry before editing any registry entries. To do so, go to FILE and click Export... under the Registry Editor window.

It's helpful. Thanks, but you forgotten add the step: Must click F5 to see results. If the computer's not gaming, open Start Menu > All Programs > Accesories > Accesibility > On-Screen Keyboard.exe and tap F5 button. Then, you can see the renamed screen, np. File Trasher
